FAQs
How do your customers know that your product is truly gluten free?
Our owner, Ashleigh, has celiac, and does not work with gluten. Additionally, all foods are being made in a kitchen that was bought shortly after it was built, and has never had gluten-containing ingredients in it. Our customers can rest easy knowing that there is not even risk of cross contamination.
How does someone order from blessed b. bakery?
Our customers can reach out through the “Contact” page to make requests. We will reach out to you with pricing and any follow up questions we might have, and a contract that has the details of payment and pick-up/delivery. Once the order is confirmed, and the deposit is made, your order will be on our calendar. The full payment is due before the product can be picked up or delivered.
Why is the deposit non-refundable?
The deposit is charged so that we can purchase the ingredients needed to make your order. Even if you choose to cancel your order before it is made, most ingredients cannot be returned for a variety of reasons. The non-refundable deposit protects us from that loss.
Can customers request accommodations for other allergies?
Yes, to a point. Most products are already soy free, and dairy free. Even nut free is manageable to a point. However, some things just aren’t possible to make without certain ingredients. In those cases, we will not be able to accommodate the request. We will be up front in these situations.
Why are your prices so high compared to other bakeries?
The answer to this question comes in multiple parts. First, the cost of gluten free flours tends to be significantly higher due to the fact that it is a blend of multiple flours. Second, our ingredients are higher quality than most bakeries look for. We do our best to purchase organic produce, stick to seasonal availability, and avoid additives, preservatives and unnatural dyes.
Why is there a contract for baked goods?
Contracts remove any confusion. The contract will lay out due dates for the payments, when and where the pick-up or delivery will take place, and what happens in the case of any emergencies. Without a signed contract and payments, there is not a special order.
